Boehner says he's nudged Jeb Bush on presidency

Source: AP

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — House Speaker John Boehner said Monday that he's "nudged" former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2016.

With various potential GOP candidates jockeying two years out, the top Republican in Congress delivered the strongest hints about his preference for the White House while cautioning that the talk was a bit premature.

"Jeb Bush is my friend. I think he'd make a great president. I've nudged him for some time," Boehner told the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Republican Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas have been mentioned as possible presidential candidates along with a number of GOP governors.

If it's Clinton vs Bush in 2016 then that is final nail in the coffin of our democracy. The nerve if those two to run us beyond words. If either if them cared about our country they wouldn't run.

Bush Senior was smart and had at least a bit of humanity in him. I didn't much care for his politics and his previous association with the CIA but compared to GWB he was a genius.

GWB has to be the stupidest man in the White House in my lifetime. He never really was the president. Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rice and Rumsfeld were the real power behind his presidency. He claimed to be a Christian but his actions were anything but. Good riddance to you. I won't cry any river of tears when you croak.

Jeb appears to be fairly smart. I also think he is more of a pragmatist like his father but I don't trust him. He would be surrounded by the same band of thieves, liars and cheats as his father and brother.

No thank you. It is the same no thank you I say to Hillary Clinton. I would support her if she is the nominee but I will not be out rooting for her or contributing to her campaign. Bill was a great president but it is time for new blood, especially younger blood like the Castro brothers of Texas.

When she was Florida First Lady she got bagged by U.S. Customs trying to smuggle jewelry and clothes into the country to avoid paying a Duty. That was just before her 2 kids got arrested for drugs and stalking.

Jebby must have some Google friends. I noticed most all the articles that flooded the newspaper and internet back then appear to be scrubbed from the search engines.
