Sarah Palin: 'Waterboarding Is How We'd Baptize Terrorists' If I Were In Charge

Source: HUFF POST

Sarah Palin wants terrorists to know how the United States would deal with them if she were president.

Speaking Saturday at the National Rifle Association's "Stand And Fight" rally at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate accused the Obama administration of instating counterterrorism policies that "coddle adversaries."

"Come on. Enemies, who would utterly annihilate America, they who'd obviously have information on plots, to carry out Jihad. Oh, but you can't offend them, can't make them feel uncomfortable, not even a smidgen," she said. "Well, if I were in charge, they would know that waterboarding is how we'd baptize terrorists."

Saturday's rally was part of the NRA's annual meeting, which drew thousands to Indianapolis.

During her speech, Palin focused on Second Amendment rights, which she said liberals are "attacking" in addition to the United States' "foundational values and tradition." According to Palin, creating gun-free zones in schools and other public buildings is "stupid on steroids."

"Maybe our kids could be defended against criminals on the spot if more Mama Grizzlies carried," she said. "And [the] Obama administration wants you ID'd for that? Well, then go ahead and carry a sign too. A sign that says 'Yeah, I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.'"

That's about a close to running for elected office as she'll ever get again.

If her ego and delusional followers actually convince her to run again for any position you would think any consultant worth their salt would tell Palin up front to expect to be repeatedly challenged by her own party opponents in a primary over her quitting her last job.

this guy said he ran into an atheist on board his ship once, but he and his buddies straightened him out.

I asked how they did that, and he said they "took him to church."

I asked what church and he said "not a real church--we just took him down to the boiler room and pissed on him."

I grew up under apartheid, and my opposition to that system was largely born out of my religious convictions. It simply was incompatible with my belief that "thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." That has continued here in the US for me. I am opposed to the GOP largely due to my religious-ethical convictions. Their racism, gun-toting, abuse of religion, wealth-stealing, warmongering ways, etc., all offend my religious sensibilities. The idea of torturing someone most certainly offends those religious sensibilities as well.

To equate such ethically challenged behavior with the Christian sacrament of baptism make this doubly religiously offensive. The sacrament of baptism is holy to me. This vile woman's association of baptism with waterboarding is beyond disgusting and offensive.
