AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Not even Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey can compete with Willie Nelson in this town.
The country music icon who already had a downtown street and 8-foot statue in his honor in Austin added a spot in the inaugural class of the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
He was inducted by McConaughey, his friend and fellow Texan, who recently picked up his first Academy Award for best actor in "Dallas Buyers Club."

(22,651 posts)Willie Nelson and his family have always stepped up and offered help whenever they could. I'll never forget how fast he responded and got involved with a horrific animal abuse case, where a lot of horses needed help. He even adopted several of the horses. The horses now live on his ranch with the best of care forever.
