Jim Flaherty, Canada's former finance minister, is dead at 64.
In a statement, Flaherty's wife, Ontario MPP Christine Elliott, asked for privacy on behalf of her and the couple's triplet sons, John, Galen and Quinn.

He had health issues in the last couple of years and resigned his finance post last month.
