Christie announces that David Samson resigned as Port Authority chairman

TRENTON — David Samson, the chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, has resigned from the bistate agency, Gov. Chris Christie announced today.

The governor, at a news conference, announced that Samson had offered his resignation this afternoon.

If so, he should resign based on the recent security violations alone, much less being in cahoots with Christie & the rest of his cronies.

Christie also said he would "fully embrace the reforms" included in the report, which was prepared by Randy Mastro, a lawyer with the firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.

"I intend to work with Gov. (Andrew) Cuomo … to bring a new day to the Port Authority."

A spokesman for the Port Authority declined comment today.


Christie will fully embrace the reforms in his own report!!!!!

I didn't think charges went away just because a person left office, or that they couldn't be called to testify on something that happened while they were in office.

he is no longer able to be subpoenaed for this. Had he been subject to subpoena prior to his resignation then he could still be called. Since that didn't happen, it's too late now.
