Arizona's birther bill is back

Source: Arizona Republic

You gotta give Rep. Carl Seel credit for tenacity.

The state lawmaker who last year met with Donald Trump to discuss his "birther bill," and who greeted Sheriff Joe Arpaio's investigation into President Barack Obama's birth certificate with a cheer, has managed to revive the birther legislation.

On Wednesday, the Senate Government Reform Committee approved House Bill 2480 on a partyline vote, with Republicans in favor and Democrats opposed.

Seel replaced the language in one of his AHCCCS fraud and waste bills with verbage that would require any candidate for president and vice president of the United States to have their national party submit an affidavit to Arizona's Secretary of State attesting, under penalty of perjury, they are qualified to hold those offices.

As for loving AZ, I don't blame you, it's lovely down there.

and only the crazy people, teabaggers, Jesus jumpers, survivalists, and other nutbars are motivated enough to vote. They vote for people just like themselves and you all have to deal with what happens next.

I'm afraid AZ is going to start suffering a lot of economic hits because of this stuff.

Seriously, someone in the state legislature should propose this. They have truly lost their minds.

No matter how they try to make a scene with this, to change the election laws, they can't hold the country hostage to their special beliefs.

Maybe they'll secede from the USA. There's a country on their southern border who would be glad to annex them. Oh, right, they don't like those guys.

Okay, they can build a fence around the entire state to keep the hordes of Obamabots from invading their Sheriff Joe's little fiefdom.

Are they going to send Sheriff Joe to pick up the head of the DNC?

Arizona is what you get when Sheriff Buford T. Justice of Texarkana, Texas, becomes a real-life figure. Except compared to the yahoos they have in Arizona, Sheriff Justice was minimally qualified.

AZ, TN, Mississippi, AL, NC, SC, FL and others are the last stand for WHITE supremists? Or are the powers to be, such as Koch Brothers and others injecting the fears that many people (mostly white) feel that their race (although the fears puts lost of country first) will eliminate them? Thats why they are gun ho against birth control only pertaining to women, which the evangelicalist are spouting as a religious freedom bs?

I have noticed that this hatred towards minorities, women, and just plain civil rights all have one thing in common, FEAR.

Their minds are shut tight, reasoning with such hatred apparently is futile. These types of thinkers in history have damn near destoyed the world many times, but I guess, thats their ultimate wish. God help us.
