Oakland County sheriff releases new information about 'mummified' body found in Pontiac

Life continued in the well-kept Pontiac subdivision named Parkside Preserve and no one suspected the a dead body was in their midst.

Mail didn't pile up, because it was being delivered to a PO Box. A neighbor cut her lawn.

Bouchard said the woman's bank account was set to electronically pay her bills and services continued. One neighbor, who asked not to be named, claimed the garage lights often came on. Investigators said her cable bill, phone, electric and gas bills were all paid regularly until the account dried up in March of 2013.

The bank holding the mortgage on Farrenkopf's home eventually foreclosed on it and received word recently that a hole had developed in the roof that was allowing access to squirrels and other animals.
