Fox News analyst tells Tea Party group he can lead a military coup against Obama

Source: Raw Story

A retired Army general and Fox News analyst told a Tea Party group that he would lead a military coup against the U.S. government, if only reluctantly.

Paul Vallely, a retired major general and senior military analyst for the conservative news channel, told the Surprise, Arizona, Tea Party Patriots during a Dec. 3 speech that other retired military personnel and veterans groups had contacted him about the possibility.

“I had a call this afternoon from Idaho, the gentleman said, ‘If I give you 250,000 Marines to go to Washington, will you lead them?’” Vallely said as the group laughed and gasped. “I said, ‘Yes, I will, I’ll surround the White House and I’ll surround the Capitol building, but it’s going to take physical presence to do things.”

Vallely, who has suggested a variety of extra-constitutional remedies to remove President Barack Obama from office, said extraordinary means were necessary to achieve the legislative results he wanted.

It is not the job of the NSA to track dupes like this, that is what the FBI is for. We have become so confused that we no longer know what our government agencies do but we are quick to comment without that education.

This is not a matter to be a comedian about and for all you know, the proper authorities may have been aware of this long before today but then since you did not get a personal fax on that, I guess that agency failed.

32. Marine General Butler saved the USA from a Fascist State in the 1930's
Tue Jan 28, 2014, 08:33 AM
Jan 2014
In 1933, he {Gen Butler} became involved in a controversy known as the Business Plot, when he told a congressional committee that a group of wealthy industrialists were planning a military coup to overthrow Franklin D. Roosevelt, with Butler selected to lead a march of veterans to become dictator, similar to other Fascist regimes at that time. The individuals involved all denied the existence of a plot and the media ridiculed the allegations. A final report by a special House of Representatives Committee confirmed some of Butler's testimony.

... from Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smedly_butler

Everyone who values democracy should read Butler's book War Is a Racket with its prescient warning of what another general - Eisenhower - would later term the "Military-Industrial Complex."

That unheeded warning of the machinations of the cabal which now controls our nation - Which, indeed, controls the Western world - and whose minions are, at this very moment, reading everything you are posting here.

This does give one pause.

51. Yes, there has been an American President threatened with a coup, by the elites, before.
Tue Jan 28, 2014, 10:33 AM
Jan 2014

The President was FDR and I can (better) understand why the elites wanted FDR out of office. He actually threatened and followed through by heavily taxing the wealthy, getting meaningful regulations on banks and corporations. He created job programs for the unemployed that paid living wages. He got social security and unemployment created and many positive things that REALLY helped (saved) average Americans. He "saved capitalism" by imposing and enforcing common sense regulations that prohibited TPTB from robbing Americans. In short, he changed the paradigm that allowed Robber Barons to rape workers and society in general.

That is what confuses me. President Obama and his various agencies have NOT targeted the elites or corporations to re-instate these much needed regulations. He has allowed these corporations and financial institutions to run rampant. When they are prosecuted it results in a wrist slap and a fine that keeps the illegal behavior very profitable for these institutions. Not to mention his attempting to fast track the (job destroying) TPP.

Possibly this is a publicity stunt to make average Americans think that our President has threatened the oligarchs because from where I sit, Obama is definitely no FDR...

If it could be raised, they would have some stolen arms and illegal militia cached armaments and stuff liberated from National Guard armories on the way to Washington, but not fully armed by any stretch.

But they could not raise 250,000 soldiers of any stripe to their cause without creating such a noise that they would get shut down in their tracks.

97. False. Tanks do not function without fuel. Planes do not fly without airstrips.

People have a fascination with military power and assume all conflicts are head on. This is a false scenario. The true strength is in the guerrilla fighter. Cut the chain link into the refinery and set it off. Interrupt fuel supplies to the local army base, break into the air base and sabotage the aircraft, the runways, or the electronics. Will the high altitude bomber be used to bomb a single man? You assume massed formations all lining up presenting arms and firing a volley. The reality will be solitary individuals moving at night, planting things on the road waiting for you to drive by. Gunning for fuel trucks, gunning for those who provide support and assistance. All the fancy weapons are no help when the only way to combat it is a group of men on the ground with rifles. Drones, it's one thing to turn tribal Pakistan against you, another to turn the citizens you claim to represent against you.

Openly plotting a military coup against a president isn't covered by the 1st Amendment.

It looks more like the cover of one of those newspapers at the supermarket check-out. If you flip it over there's a story about aliens controlling the Super Bowl.

This guy is a fruit loop. Obviously, he doesn't realize that there might be some weaker minded folks out there that might act on what he said. I've a new name for him, "hey you", are you in the first stages of alzheimer's? And "hey you" may still be included in the general officers communications group?

Do these clowns ever listen to themselves? Do they really think doing this would be a simple undertaking? That there would be no pushback from anyone?

They sound like middle schoolers who have been playing far to many video games.

94. General Vallely, let me remind you of something

I swore this oath many years ago:

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

You swore this oath:

"I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."

I declare you, Paul Vallely, a domestic enemy of the United States.

250,000 old retired white guys with guns try to surround the White House.
Sound like a winning strategy to make America a better place to me.
