SAN FRANCISCO (AP) The FBI said Monday it has made an arrest in a fire set intentionally at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco.
One suspect had been taken into custody, FBI spokesman Peter Lee said.
Lee did not provide further details, saying FBI Special Agent in Charge David Johnson would have more information at a news conference.
No one was hurt in the New Year's Day blaze that charred a doorway and damaged the lobby of the building.

Really?... so the motive was to what? To barbeque some chicken?

(49,052 posts)The clear implication of your post is that you have decided that the only motive would be terrorism. If that is not the implication you want, then you'll need to clarify.
Before the news conference, we can imagine many motives: mental illness, anger at an extra-marital affair with one of the staffers, anger at a visa being denied, mistaking the address for another target, etc. That is why we await more information.
