Boehner: Rush remark 'inappropriate'

Speaker John Boehner on Friday denounced radio host Rush Limbaughs slut remarks aimed at Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke, but the Ohio Republican also jabbed at Democrats who have been fundraising off the fracas.
The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation, Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said in an e-mail Friday morning.
Fluke is a law student who wasnt allowed to testify at a congressional hearing in February that centered on the Obama administrations contraception rule. Democrats convened a hearing last week specifically so Fluke could testify the need for easier access to birth control.
On his radio show this week, Limbaugh used slut and prostitute to refer to Fluke and equated her advocating for contraception access to demanding to be paid to have sex. House Democrats sent a letter to Boehner Thursday asking House Republican leaders to condemn the remarks. . . .

I don't think any criticism of Rush is allowed. Trouble ahead for Boehner.

They apparently want to control everything that pertains to females, be it the females' body, civil rights and so forth. These same goppers at every avenue want to denounce Sharia Law but that is exactly what they are invoking towards American women and of course they got dumbass female goppers going alongwith them. Thats sick.

But if internal criticism is not allowed, and external criticisms are discredited, then the organization becomes less and less tethered to reality. This has happened, and Republicans are now paying the price.
Boehner will catch shit for calling Rush Limbaugh's comments inappropriate (even though Boehner's language is mild. (Limbaugh's language is seldom mild.) But Boehner at least realizes the Limbaugh has jumped the sharkon this one.
Of course the Republican Party as a whole has jumped the shark, and it has burned its bridges back to reality bypatronizng the likes of Rush Limbaugh.

Boehner should have been the one calling and telling her that the GOP doesn't support that type of hate.

You spineless, whining cowards.
Inappropriate????
Limbaugh is and has been a pimple on the ass of humanity for years and HE is the spiritual voice of conservative Republicans???? Republicans who do not speak out forcefully against such repulsive behavior and who don't have the strength of character to face up to such a putrid spokeperson should be hounded out of any positions of power and respect.
And while I am at it...Republican men who are so obsessed with controling women's health and birth control should get out of legislature and out of women's uteruses...figuratively and literally. Kick them out of state and federal lawmaking bodies and kick them out of women's bodies, and bedrooms.
NOWHERE has any of these ignorant men who support such invasion and insecure-based control of women's health made any mention of a man's mature responsibility towards pregnancy and sex.
They hide behind the disingenuous baloney of religious freedom.
Ignorant cowards.

(24,266 posts)and Boehner's very "delicate" response that it was "inappropriate" shows you Boehner probably thinks very much like Rush, plus he can't get on Rush's nerves or he'll get attacked too.
