Seminole deputies arrest George Zimmerman

Source: Orlando Sentinel

George Zimmerman has been arrested and is en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.

It's not clear what happened or what crime he's accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.

He said more information would be available shortly.

WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.

George Zimmerman has been arrested in Orlando, FL after allegedly attacking his pregnant girlfriend, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

According to law enforcement sources -- which have been involved with the Zimmerman case since day one and have always been reliable -- Zimmerman got physical with his girlfriend earlier today, who claimed she was pregnant.

Since she's pregnant, we're told the domestic violence charge is automatically listed as a felony. The Seminole County Sheriff's website says Zimmerman is not eligible for bail.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Zimmerman JUST arrived to a local jail and is currently being booked into the system.

Zimmerman has had multiple run-ins with cops ever since he was acquitted back in July of murdering 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

be so freakin' mean and stupid. His dad the judge, has spent his son's sorry life, bailing him out of any trouble he's ever gotten himself into. So when George got away with murder one, it reinforced that false feeling of invincibility, that has done nothing but grow, IMHO, since little George was old enough to start getting himself into trouble. George is your typical politician's brat who's parents have that, "My kid couldn't have done that," defensive attitude. By now George plays his ignorant parents like a two dollar Jaw Harp.

I know a few people like that. These people are so stupid, they have no idea they aren't doing their kid any favors - they just create psychopaths. Even when it starts becoming obvious that their kid is no angel, they make excuses, blame everyone else around them. And you're right, no doubt George plays his parents, but they allow it because they also want to keep up the image that their family has no dysfunction. I grew up in a dysfunctional family and the image portrayed to the outside must be maintained at all costs - two things will happen - they will stand by George and deny anything that has happened is his fault, and deny that he did anything wrong OR they will throw him under the bus with a sigh and a "we've tried so hard to help him, he has very real problems, he's sick, he needs help, we've done everything we could." Both maintain the illusion that the parents couldn't have possibly had anything to do with the eventual outcome.

I thought there was federal law to this effect, but I cannot find it so I suspect I am mistaken on this point.

It's being reported by TMZ and I'm not sure if they're a reliable source or not. If it's true it's a felony and he's convicted, I wonder if he loses his gun rights in Florida?

He'll keep on showing his true nature little by little until someday he seriously hurts or kills someone again.

It seems as though this guy just can't stay out of trouble. As he demonstrated in the Trayvon Martin case, this is a man who believes that he can do whatever he wants regardless of the law and regardless of the consequences to others. I wonder if those jurors who decided that being afraid of black children minding their own business justified murder are reconsidering, and more importantly I hope the next jury that judges a defendant who tries to justify a cold blooded killing with a "stand your ground" defense remembers the lessons we are learning from George Zimmerman.

I do not trust that Sanford Police Dept. Haven't they let him go numerous times, before, after and including when he killed 16 year old Trayvon Martin?

Notice how he seems to always prey on the weak, i.e. children, women and old men? What a effing coward.
GZ is nothing but a spoiled brat wimp.

George Zimmerman arrested after disturbance call

The man acquitted of criminal charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin was arrested Monday after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a house in Florida, authorities said.

APOPKA, Fla. —
The man acquitted of criminal charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin was arrested Monday after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a house in Florida, authorities said.

Former neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman was taken to the jail for booking, according to a Seminole County Sheriff's Office statement. Authorities provided few other details, and it was not immediately known what charge he faced. Messages for comment left by The Associated Press with the sheriff's office were not immediately returned.

"Just when you thought you heard the last of George Zimmerman," said neighbor Catherine Cantrell. She said she had twice seen a man who looked like Zimmerman get out of a truck that's been in the driveway for nearly a month. The truck parked there Monday appeared to be the same one that reporters have seen Zimmerman drive previously.

"I'm in absolute shock. He was never outside. It's not like he was out flaunting around," she said.

Cantrell said the woman who lived in the home was very sweet and quiet.

Sarah Tyler, 26, also lives across the street from the tan stucco house on a cul-de-sac street of single family homes in Apopka, about 15 miles northwest of Orlando.

"It's kind of frightening," she said, adding that she only saw a woman came out of the house.

He was arrested at about 1 p.m. Monday at his girlfriend's home on Topfield Court in Apopka following a 911 call. Neighbors told WESH 2 News that they didn't know the woman was dating Zimmerman, and they thought the man might have been an undercover cop because he walked around like an officer.

You could have been a Fox News commentator, a published author care of Threshold, a $20,000 per event speaker at Tea Party rallies. All you had to do was cash in on your 2nd degree murder of a young, unarmed black male in a hoody. Hell, you could have been a fucking Congressman.

You just couldn't see the opportunity before you. So tragic.
