Most Of FreedomWorks 2012 Money Came From Four Secret Donors

FreedomWorks had its best fundraising year ever in 2012, taking in $15 million, thanks in large part to four unnamed donors who accounted for nearly 60 percent of the group's funding, The Center for Public Integrity reported on Thursday.

The numbers come from an annual tax report FreedomWorks filed earlier this year. The document shows that the four unnamed contributors donated at least $1 million each, including one who gave nearly $4.9 million.

According to The Center for Public Integrity, 106 unnamed donors gave the FreedomWorks at least $5,000 each in 2012.
