A FORMER child protection officer claimed last night a Special Branch detective held a gun to his head to stop him investigating a VIP paedophile ring.

Chris Fay said he was pinned to a wall and throttled before being given a chilling warning to “back away” from allegations surrounding the notorious Elm Guest House in Barnes, south-west London.

Young boys in care were allegedly taken there in the Eighties to be abused by high-profile MPs and other powerful establishment figures.

Mr Fay, 67, of south London, said: “It became very dangerous. People seem to forget that Special Branch could do what they liked, they were a law unto themselves.

“At one point they had me up against a wall by my throat with a gun at my head telling me in no uncertain terms that I was to back away if I knew what was good for me.

Wanna bet the security services like MI5 and/or MI6 (or maybe even the "Special Branch" itself) did not want this perversity stopped as it no doubt produced a fount of good blackmail material that could be used against MPs and VIPs, so the orders went out to the elite police "Special Branch" unit to warn off any well meaning, naive, do-gooders who tried to stop the travesty.

these things happened as far back as the Nixon administration. I believe that Thompson had been working on a story about the WTC when he came across a lot of information about Jeff Gannon. That whole Jerry Sandusky episode had me shocked and baffled the entire time it was going on. Like most such stories, it has a somewhat sensationalistic tone ("pagan rituals"?), but it seems clear that there was something unsavory going on. To most people Portugal's state-run orphanages seemed like a safe haven for thousands of children who had been robbed of their parents. They were called the Casa Pia, or Houses of the Pious.

But for an elite paedophile ring, which included a former ambassador and a prominent television celebrity, Casa Pia orphanages were something entirely different. They were supermarkets stocked with children to abuse. Yesterday, at the conclusion of the longest trial in Portugal's history, seven defendants were convicted of using the orphanages to rape and abuse scores of teenage boys in a case that has sent shockwaves through the country's political elite and raised serious concerns over the efficiency of Portugal's judiciary. Six of the seven were given jail terms of between five and 18 years.

Jimmy Savile told a cop to “p*** off” when he was caught trying to seduce an under-age girl in his Rolls-Royce.

The papers from a 2009 police quiz were released last week following a seven-month battle by the Daily Star Sunday.

that at times I thought humanity's only salvation lay in an asteroid strike and starting over from scratch.

A few people were incensed that I was "rooting" for the extinction of the species.

Now, I just read stories like this, then go off to cry knowing it has happened, it is happening, and will happen over and over again.

Too many rich and powerful people are involved for anything to be done. This story will disappear, as they all do eventually.
