Gohmert pushes impeachment: Obama ‘getting close to a high crime and misdemeanor’

Source: Raw Story

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Tuesday amped his recent impeachment rhetoric by claiming that President Barack Obama was “getting close to a high crime and misdemeanor.”

Fox News host Alisyn Camerota pointed out to Gohmert that after two weeks of a government shutdown, Republicans were basically guaranteed to lose on their core goal of repealing, defunding or delaying the president’s health care reform law.

“A majority in the House should be sign to the Senate that we need to negotiate,” Gohmert opined. “We have sent over compromise after compromise after compromise with ourselves. Our own leadership proposed yet another compromise and [Senate Majority Leader] Harry Reid said all of the sudden, he thinks that’s a slap at bipartisanship.”

“He wouldn’t know bipartisanship if it came up and slapped him and said, we’re bipartisan,” he added. “So, I don’t need to hear any crap from Harry Reid about bipartisanship. He doesn’t know bipartisanship, nor does the president.”

they can't help themselves.

His being black just makes for easy fodder for race baiting.

Bill Clinton was not black and they accused him of being a drug dealer, murderer and ended up bringing up articles of impeachment.

His major crime is being a democrat, his being black is, for them, a fortunate thing making it easier and more convenient to slander him.

And remember, Clinton was called 'the first black president' because he understood more than just white culture (yes, it was a dumb title, but also explains a certain mindset).

And if Obama had realized what the Republicans have become, he wouldn't have trusted them from Day One and wouldn't have played Frog.

Do you have to be an asshole just to live there and vote - or did they put something in the water in the past two decades?

Yes, there are home grown republicans but not republicans are from Texas.

Lots of jobs in Texas so people moved here.

The A.C.A. is a law not a bill. The House and Senate negotiate all the time about
bills but once they have become a law that is not the time to have negotiations
but if you don't like a law and you want it overturned then you can:

1) Hold an election and gather enough support to have the law overturned
by democratic methods.

b) Take the law in front of the Federal Judiciary System and have the law
declared un-Constitutional.

*****

Bottom line the House republicans are trying to hold a coup to change the
outcome of the last elections and to be allowed to control the nation's rule
of law by threating to crash and burn the US and the world's economy.

So these people are either really bad at strategy, or they know that people are really going to like it and they don't want to give it a chance.
