Ted Cruz: Obama will ‘start quartering soldiers in people’s homes soon’

Source: The Raw Story

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Friday said that President Barack Obama was trying to violate all of the Bill of Rights and would “start quartering soldiers in people’s homes soon.”

Speaking to the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., Cruz told the audience that the country was facing “extraordinary times.”

“You look at our Constitution, you look at our Bill of Rights, this is an administration that seems bound and determined to violate every single one of our Bill or Rights,” he explained.

“I don’t know that they’ve yet violated the Third Amendment, but I expect them to start quartering soldiers in people’s homes soon,” the Texas Republican said.

That there are way more than two or three people who think he's the closest thing to the Second Coming. But then again, they're a lot of the same people who fell for such "bright lights" as dubya, rick perry, tom delay, and louie gohmert. Willfully ignorant, and damn proud of it, too.

Glad you're here. He IS an idiot. And yeah, Grandpa Munster meets Joe McCarthy. Meets ronald reagan's fucking eyebrows and greased-back hair. He's a national disgrace. And he still thinks he's spot on and has the keys the the highway. I think he should firmly and permanently be SHOWN the highway. He needs to be sent back to Texas, where they're so cheap and short-sighted that they've had to start gravel-"paving" some of their roads.

Cruz is reaching a new level of stupid that not even Dubya, Palin or the entire 2012 Republican Presidential field hasn't covered. I have to admire it.

I wonder how much longer Republicans are going to pretend that there's nothing wrong with Conservative ideology as it produces idiot after idiot leader. I know they were bare-facing it with Dubya and Palin, claiming there was nothing wrong with them . . . how much longer can they keep it up.

During the Bush administration, Keith did a piece in which he went through the Bill of Rights, one by one, detailing how Bush had subverted each one -- with one exception. He concluded:

We can rest easy knowing that we will never, ever have to quarter soldiers in our homes as long as the third amendment still stands strong.

The president can just take care of that with a signing statement.
