Indictment against Steubenville schools employee unsealed
Source: The Plain Dealer (Cleveland, OH)
An indictment against the Steubenville school district's director of information technology was unsealed Tuesday, revealing a few more details about charges stemming from a months-long special grand jury investigation.
The four-count indictment was handed down Monday by a grand jury impaneled in April to investigate additional crimes in connection with the August 2012 rape of a 16-year-old West Virginia girl. (See the indictment below in the document viewer.)
According to the charges, William Rhinaman, 53, tampered with potential evidence related to the rape dating back to August 11, 2012 -- three days before it was reported to Steubenville police.
The indictment also accuses Rhinaman of obstructing the investigation by the grand jury for months and lying under oath on July 8.
