Arizona GOP Lawmaker Stands By 'De Fuhrer' Obama Facebook Post

Source: TPM

Arizona State Rep. Brenda Barton (R) said late Monday she stands by a Facebook post she wrote earlier in the day labeling President Barack Obama "De Fuhrer," a misspelled reference to a title used by Adolph Hitler, and that it should not be "controversial at all."

Barton was asked about the post by the Arizona Capitol Times newspaper and said she said was inspired by National Parks Service officers enforcing the government shutdown on federal lands.

"He’s dictating beyond his authority,” Barton said of Obama.

Barton said Obama's attempts at health care reform and expanding gun control laws are evidence of his similarities to Hitler.

That's why Hitler declared war on us. He was horrified by our guns and couldn't believe we didn't have universal health care.

(Jesus, Barton, ignorant twit that she has painted herself to be, would probably nod in agreement to that statement! It's enough send a chill up and down my spine.)

Not a movement that I was previously aware of. Pretty much sums up where Barton's head is at.

Gun Owners of America director Larry Pratt is a big fan of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, a group of Tenther county sheriffs who have declared that they answer directly to the Constitution (or their interpretation of it), rather than to the federal government. Unsurprisingly, the organization and the movement it represents have grown substantially during the presidency of Barack Obama.

Pratt often praises the Constitutional Sheriffs in his speeches, and was a guest of honor at their annual convention last week, where he presented the “High Noon Award” to the Milwaukee County Sheriff who took out an ad urging people to arm themselves rather than calling 911. Pratt also presented the “Nullifier of the Year” award to Sheriff Denny Peyman of Jackson County, Kentucky, who has announced that he will not enforce federal gun laws in his county, warning that there would be a “bloodbath in our community when they come in to take guns.”

Pratt himself summed up the gist of the Constitutional Sheriffs movement when he told WND:

There is a misconception in our time that the court somehow is the arbiter of what is constitutional; that’s not true! Every official that raises their right hand and says they’re going to adhere to the constitution, seek to protect it to the best of their ability, ‘so help me God’ – that’s something that they’re all obligated to do.

The good news is these sick and disturbed people won't be around much longer. Literally.

I was in the VA hospital this morning when Obama was giving his press conference on CNN. It was on in a waiting room. An old dude in a wheelchair was flapping his trap and ratteling off some shit from Cluster Faux.

A black dude was sitting in front of him, turned around and gave the dude in the wheelchair the riot act, calling him stupid and ignorant from watching too much O'riley. He also told him, "that is your Commander in Chief", and something else pertaining to his VA benefits.

Dude in wheelchair shut up.

It was beautiful.

Saw the black dude walking down hallway later, and gave him a high five. I'm sure he felt good about setting the other dude straight.

As for the racists among us, I'm looking forward to the next generation of voters, as per Michael Moore's prediction of better leaders. The sick minded tea-baggers will only be a fractional portion of our society as they will be nowhere in government positions of power.

Too bad it can't be tomorrow.
