If Obamacare survives, U.S. won't, Ben Sasse (R-NE) says as he officially launches Senate bid

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Robynn Tysver

Republican Ben Sasse says the fate of America hinges on the fate of President Obama's health-care initiative.

If the Affordable Care Act survives, America will cease to exist, said Sasse, as he officially launched his bid Monday for U.S. Senate.

Sasse, 41, said that if he is elected to the U.S. Senate, his goal will be to repeal the law.

“If it lives, America as we know it will die. If the idea of America is to live, it must be stopped,” said Sasse.

It's been recorded...Reagan saying we will lose American freedom and how we'd tell our grand children how it was before Medicare when men were free. Same thoughtful insight. Another shallow thinking republican goober...what a surprise. Mass. is doing just fine with Obama-Romney care in place for years. Who in Omaha is guillible enough to to support this dim-wit?

John Boehner poses more of a direct threat to the mainland USA than Adolf Hitler or Usama Bin Laden ever did. But I have started to think 6-12 months as Somolia is what this country needs to wake up. Once we default, that will shake things up.

at that slur on the whole state. They're no more stupid in NE than in any other blood red state. (Which means at least 51% of them have issues with cognitive dissonance and critical thinking.)

Not born stupid, but brainwashed by the media and their politicians.

It was 2012, and 2010. These Tea Party guys are a broken record. It must raise a lot of money for them. So it's Democrats vs the Tea party. I'm betting on the democrats, as long as Obama is President Obamacare will exist. So we are ok for at least 3 years.

What is really frustrating is the Democrats haven't even put up anyone to challenge for the seat. A candidate like John Ewing could have probably taken Lee Terry's seat, if he had some backing. Despite only raising $600,000 compared to Terry's $2 million, he walked away with 49% to Terry's 51% of the vote.

As I have said from day one, the Democratic party needs to go after each and every state.

Let's see - the "America" the World knows wages war all over the globe.

It's citizens suffer without homes, decent jobs and healthcare.

So -

Enter the NEW America - prospering citizens with decent housing, healthcare and jobs.

An Administration that spends more time and money improving the lifestyle of its citizens.

and so on . . .

I think the World, AND the American population might not miss all the wars,

and welcome a peaceful prosperous existence in a new America . . .

Gotta ditch that MIC/PNAC gang though . . .

just sayin'

destroyed if a even the most modest attempt is made to reduce the insurance industry monopoly on healthcare. America as we know it will cease to exist if people are given the opportunity to purchase affordable private medical insurance.

The ACA is not universal healthcare. It is not government run healthcare. It isn't a healthcare act at all. It is a modest attempt to regulate the private insurance monopoly. But busting corporate monopolies is socialist and Un American so we can't have that.
