Bachmann: 'End Times' Are Coming Because Obama Is Supporting Al-Qaeda

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) claims the end of days is near, and as proof the former Republican presidential candidate cited President Barack Obama's decision last month to support Syrian rebels, which she calls al-Qaeda terrorists, with anti-chemical weapons gear and limited arms.

“This happened and as of today the United States is willingly, knowingly, intentionally sending arms to terrorists, now what this says to me, I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, as I look at the End Times scripture, this says to me that the leaf is on the fig tree and we are to understand the signs of the times, which is your ministry, we are to understand where we are in God’s end times history," Bachmann told Jan Markell, radio host of "Understanding the Times," on Saturday.

“Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Maranatha Come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand,” Bachmann added later. “And so when we see up is down and right is called wrong, when this is happening, we were told this; that these days would be as the days of Noah. We are seeing that in our time. Yes it gives us fear in some respects because we want the retirement that our parents enjoyed. Well they will, if they know Jesus Christ.”

When a Fox News host raised concerns last month over a rebel's use of "Allahu Akbar," a ubiquitous Islamic phrase, during the debate over the use of force in Syria, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) quickly shot him down.

It's likely anr obscure warning about the fall of belief in Christ and the rise of the anti-Christ. In their theology, that is Islam and for a long time for some, it was Catholicism and Judaism. Such call liberal congregations evil, as not following the OT.

She's also saying no government social security will remain in the journey to the coming kingdom. She neglects the human aspect, the theft of public money by her sponsors, wages paid by workers in to fund their retirement.

In that brand of religion, only the king's children are spared, that is one was grafted into the vine to be part of the tree of life eternal. You are either 'born again' into the family and a child of God or you aren't.

If not, you deserve whatever comes to you. It's all God's Will. Wealth is only for the ones found worthy by God, of which she has a long list of who is not worthy, like all GOP.

There is another intepretation of what she says. That we are short on time and the leaf is green, meaning the gospel is still being preached, but the time will come and it will not and all things will upside down and evil. This is a continuing theme of all the desert religions, a fear of the future, great suffering and judgement.

In Bachmann's accusation that Obama is supporting islamic extremist, she is linking him with one of the potent terrors of the Christian faith. A fear of the anti-Christ which such claim is the one who will kill virtually all living things on the planet. And only the 'elect' will be saved to live in the new world
