George Zimmerman taken into custody after incident with gun, police say

Source: ClickOrlando.com

LAKE MARY, Fla. -
George Zimmerman has been taken into custody in Central Florida after an incident involving a gun with another person.

Lake Mary police say they were called to a house on Sprucewood Road Monday afternoon after a report that Zimmerman was involved in an altercation with another person with a threat involved.

Lake Mary police spokesman Zach Hudson said police are "trying to determine what exactly happened."

No other details were immediately available.

So too bad. Also, it seems he had a another woman in his vehicle with him the entire time and they only realized it when the cops came and made everyone get out of the car. The girl must have been on the floor or something the whole time, who knows, but what I do wonder is if the jury now gets it. This guy is dangerous, or at least has become dangerous by getting away with killing an unarmed kid. I believe it has only emboldened him to be a badass as a career choice. There will be more to come with this clown and I think that sooner or later he will shoot someone else, go to jail for real or get killed himself. He's definitely on the correct road toward disaster.

It is just unbelievable how many brushes with the law this guy has had since after the end of murder case.

The guy needs to be locked up before he hurt anyone else. Apparently he thinks he can go around and do the things he does without any consequence.

Sep 2013
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/trayvon-martin/os-george-zimmerman-in-custody-gun-20130909,0,4880482.story

George Zimmerman, the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer acquitted of murder in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, has been detained as authorities investigate a domestic incident in Lake Mary, police confirmed.

Police are investigating a "possible domestic battery" involving Zimmerman on Sprucewood Road, Lake Mary police Officer Zach Hudson said this afternoon. The police spokesman said it was his understanding that a gun was involved.

Hudson said the investigation is in its early stages, and it was unclear whether Zimmerman or anyone would be arrested. No significant injuries were suffered in the incident, Hudson said.

The police activity is in the area of a house where, as the Orlando Sentinel reported earlier today , George and Shellie Zimmerman lived during his high-profile trial in Trayvon's shooting.

Shellie Zimmerman's attorney told the Sentinel this afternoon he was heading to the scene.

Why on earth would he get in trouble for just threatening someone with a gun and destroying private property?

Short fuse and a pistol... that's the smell of "Freedom" for far too many idiots in the land.

Although I imagine we'll soon hear a "rational and civil discourse" justifying his course of action from simpletons and hacks who yet still want to hitch their horse to this most unstable of wagons...

But honestly, if theres a guy who just got away with shooting a kid dead, point blank, after admittedly stalking them, scott free, no punishment, and even making cash on the deal in the end..

Are you going to be the one to challenge him? Seems like a quick way to end up dead.

Or she could be waiting for the police to press charges if they find enough evidence. She said herself he has felt invincible since the trial ended. She probably thought " well if he can get away with all this, and if I press charges and he's found not guilty, then I'm next."

He murdered someone. He got away with it

Just because they hold him on a relatively minor charge doesn't mean he wouldn't get let out on bail.

And then what? As a thinking person, you might know that there is no way he can barge into your house and shoot you dead without going to jail for a long time. But clearly he doesn't think that way. So.. bring charges and maybe he walks out a day later and shoots you dead.. just like the last person he stalked. The fact he would end up in jail for murder this time is cold comfort to you. Because he shot you dead already.

to not file charges, even when beaten up badly and threatened with murder. They are scared of the abusers and often are financially/emotionally dependent on the a-holes. These women don't want to make the men angry, which they already are even without those women.

Used to volunteer on a help line for women.

This may be different as she separated from Zimmerman a month ago and filed for divorce last week (so is probably not emotionally dependent on him anymore) and her parents appear to be well off (so financial dependence component is probably insignificant).

Just idlely speculating about a shallower cause. Wasn't her attorney supposed to make a statement tonight about the incident?

101. 911 Call: George Zimmerman Tried To Use Stand Your Ground While Threatening His Wife
Mon Sep 9, 2013, 05:38 PM
Sep 2013

George Zimmerman was taken into custody Monday after his estranged wife called 911 on him.

According to the 911 call, George Zimmerman kept telling his wife to move closer while he was holding a gun. It sounds like George was trying to set up another case of stand your ground.

Shellie Zimmerman told the 911 dispatcher that a witness sitting in his truck saw the entire altercation. She broke down sobbing saying she was scared and in shock.

...

She told the dispatcher, “He’s here continually trying to shut the garage door on me. He’s in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun, and he keeps saying ‘step closer’ and he’s just threatening all of us with his firearm.”
