Syrian Electronic Army Hacks Marines Website
Source: WSJ
A collection of pro-Syrian government hackers apparently defaced a Marine Corps recruitment website Monday.
The Syrian Electronic Army, which has hacked a series of websites, posted a letter on the Marines.com website arguing the Syrian government is fighting a vile common enemy.
The Syrian army should be your ally not your enemy, the letter read. Refuse your orders and concentrate on the real reason every soldier joins their military, to defend their homeland. Youre more than welcome to fight alongside our army rather than against it.
..........
The hack also includes pictures of people wearing U.S. military uniforms holding signs in front of their faces reading I will not fight for Al Qaeda and I didnt join the Marine Corps to Fight for Al Qaeda in a Syrian civil war.

(25,111 posts)someone posted that recently on the DU - "I will not fight for Al Qaeda" and "I didn't join . . in a Syrian civil war" and lord behold some posters thought it was gospel. Come to find out that it "maybe" propaganda and the person(s) are dressed up as American soldiers.
I've also noticed how now it has become easier for hackers to hack the US newspapers, et al.,, ummmmmmmmmmmm.
