UM students camp out overnight for Obama tickets
By CBS4

Up to a thousand University of Miami students camped out overnight in Coral Gables for the must see event of the year, not a music concert, but a chance to see President Barack Obama speak on campus on Thursday.

Students started to line-up Tuesday evening in order for a chance to get tickets to see Obama’s speech at UM’s BankUnted Center Fieldhouse.

The tickets will be distributed at 8:30 a.m.

At the event, Obama is expected to discuss plans to shore up the economy.

Good on them. I'm going to call my cousin who is a student there. I'm sure he's trying to go.

In college, it takes MUCH more ambition to get out and vote (many are going to college somewhere different from where they are registered to vote, have classes all, etc.). I am like you and think they will, but it is something we should continue to focus our efforts on and not get complacent, as their participation can swing an election.

How will we be able to push back on all the Super PAC money that will be pouring in if we don't get out the vote.

You're spot on!
