U.N. watchdog says nuclear talks with Iran failed

(Reuters) - The U.N. nuclear watchdog said Wednesday it had failed to secure an agreement with Iran during talks over disputed atomic activities and that the Islamic Republic had rejected a request to visit a military site.

The failure of the two-day meeting may hamper any resumption of wider nuclear negotiations between Iran and six world powers and add to rising tension with the West, which has stepped up sanctions on the major oil producer in recent months.

How can anyone say they are hiding anything? It is obvious they are going on the quick with a weapons program. They are going to try and go right to building Nuke ICBMS. They could make a basic bomb right now. They want warheads. This is 70 year old technology.

The whole WMD mantra that our government uses against every nation (with oil) is getting old. 10 years of spotless inspections and all of a sudden they are building WMDs... I don't believe anything that comes from this administration anymore than I believe Guatonomo will be closed down or the war in afghanistan will end or the banks will be regulated. Bush did a number on our reputation, and it is the same old crap with a new country inserted into slot A.

I think that the inspection teams in Iran are doing a great job. Anyplace Iran refuses to admit them will become a target. It is apparent that a strike will come sooner or later. Unless Ron Paul wins the election and pulls us the Hell out of the whole mess. Odds of that are Zero.

An Iranian scientist gets bushwhacked? I can understand Iranian authorities not trusting the inspectors any more in light of the assassinations of their nuclear personnel.

Refusing them to inspect various sites, playing shell games with them, etc.

Does that mean that he was hiding a WMD program? Or was he simply fucking around with them?

Everyone takes a shot when some official says any of the following terms: "Mushroom cloud, aluminum tubes, yellow cake." Feel free to add your own terms.
