Dow hits record high

Source: CNN

Investors pushed the Dow to a new trading high early Thursday as they wait for the latest missive from Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke.

The Dow Jones industrial average gained 82 points, or 0.5%, hitting a record high of 15,552.70.

S&P 500 rose 0.3%, while the Nasdaq was little changed.

Bernanke appeared before the House Financial Services Committee on Wednesday, reiterating that the Fed will keep its stimulus policies in place for as long as necessary. He appears before the Senate Banking Committee Thursday.

- Well so much for Obama being a Socialist Marxist!

- This is great for the 1% but not for the rest of us.

- It's a bubble. Just wait, it's going to totally crash very soon. As I have been predicting for the last several years.

- But it's good for my 401k.

- I don't care about your 401k. It's better for the 1%, and I hate them.

An 'economic system' that is based on greed and avarice is always bad, and will eventually collapse entirely. Modern human society needs a system that is truly designed to distribute resources in an equitable manner that reflects the reality of universal physical laws that govern the conversion, utilization and dissipation of matter and energy. The current system uses smoke, mirrors and deceit, to increasingly funnel the worlds capital resources into the hands of elites.

That is exactly what he has been advocating. Self Directed Worker Enterprises. Sounds like something we should at least consider in place of Capitalism.

And I'm sure the pigs won't steal the extra apples for themselves. Or send Boxer to the glue factory.

Then no change necessary, as your example is already an accepted standard in the U.S...
