French arrest Norwegian suspected of terror plot

PARIS (AP) — French police have arrested a Norwegian sympathizer of mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik on suspicion of planning "a large terrorist act."

The Paris prosecutor's office identified the suspect as Varg Vikernes. In a statement, the Interior Ministry said the suspect was arrested at his house in rural central France on Tuesday.

Vikernes' French wife, Marie Cachet, was also arrested, the prosecutor's office said.

Vikernes was previously convicted of murder in Norway and is close to the neo-Nazi movement, the interior ministry said.

He is a neo-nazi - who in the 1990s got famous - or infamous for killing a rival in a shop called "lille helvete" (small hel) And he was convicted on the killing, and was put in prison for the next 17-18 years.....

He is a white superiour racist, who many times have expressed hatred for everything under the sun - but who after he was arrested and convicted, and put in a prison for many years - somehow managed to keep his nose clean - even thought he have been in the police spotlight many times over after he got out...

I hope the french police is better in keeping Varg Vikernes under lock and key than our own government.. He IS a danger to the community..

Yeah - he was a really "bad-ass" in the early 1990s - and he deserved a lot more than just 15 year

And definitely a man, you do not want to have next door - he is a very nasty man - and when he did his killing - and burned down two Churches - it was some of a shock to people, with a lot of writing in the news about it...

But then it was in the early 1990s - when Norway was a little smaller than it is today

A Norwegian neo-Nazi musician has been released two days after he was arrested in central France on suspicion of "preparing a major terrorist act".

Kristian Vikernes was arrested after his wife bought four rifles.

Officials say questioning of the suspect did not bring to light any evidence of a terrorist plot.
