Federal Grand Jury indicts Richardson [Ricin Letters]

Source: Texarkana Gazette

A pregnant New Boston, Texas, woman has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly mailing letters tainted with the toxin ricin to President Barack Obama and others.

Shannon Guess Richardson, 35, is charged in a three-count indictment with making a threat against the president of the U.S., and two charges of mailing threatening communications. Each count is punishable by a fine up to $250,000, up to five years in prison, or both.

Richardson allegedly concocted the poison in the home she shared with her husband and four children using castor beans and other products she ordered via the Internet, according to a criminal complaint filed earlier this month. Richardson allegedly told investigators it was her husband who was to blame. But court documents state that officials have determined Richardson acted alone.

Just an everyday garden variety domestic dispute.

As someone once opined "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar".

The letters did indicate that guns were the issue:

“You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns” and that anyone who comes to take them will “get shot in the face," the note also said, according to the indictment.

On another note, sending ricin laced letters in order to frame your spouse is hardly a "garden variety domestic dispute".

For some reason, known only to yourself, WestStar, you want all the rest of us to think that the gal's domestic squabbles precludes her from wanting her AK 47 and the President dead, too.

I think you've gotten us confused with stupid people.
