Libya on alert after warning from Gaddafi’s son

http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/a9327004-559f-11e1-9d95-00144feabdc0.html#axzz1mEaXNevr

Libya’s interim authorities have ramped up security precautions ahead of the anniversary of the country’s revolution after threats of a counter-revolution by the former leader’s exiled son.

Saadi Gaddafi, a former self-styled football player and reputed playboy, warned in a television interview on Friday of imminent attacks on the country’s interim leadership coinciding with the February 17 anniversary of the Libyan uprising.

“I will return to Libya at any time,” the 38-year-old son of the late Muammer Gaddafi said by telephone, in a live broadcast on the pan-Arab Al-Arabiya news channel. “There is a rebellion that is going on day after day and there will be a rebellion in the entire country.”

From his residence in the Niger capital, where he has been given asylum, he said most Libyans, including members of the ruling National Transitional Council, were angry at the interim authorities, whom he described as “gangs”.

He should have had a trial, but obviously the Libyan people had other ideas. Saadi should probably keep his damn mouth shut and stay completely out of sight for the rest of his life. No one outside of Libya gives a shit, but the Libyans sure do.

because he violated the terms of his exile - no public statements. Various items such as phone and computer were confiscated.

The only demonstrations of a political nature thus far in Libya have been against ex-Gaddafi people being put in positions of power.

Correction - Niger not Algeria (where Aisha is)

I don't think he's going to "return to Libya at any time," unless it's in a box, but that's just my lousy opinion...

9. The war in Libya is not over, the war against infidels have to start

The message came from Anonymous, maybe the only trusted source left after WikiLeaks was shut down. Those guys hacked terrorists' email and this is what they took out.
[img][/img]
Terrorists from Al-Qaeda Organization in the Islamic Maghreb called everyone who wants to fight infidels in Libya be ready for dispatching to Libya. The letter says that in Libya they will find a lot of weapons and explosions and persistently asks to study blasting works and terrorist tactics.
It means that war in Libya is not over and media conceals the facts about the new spinning up Islamization and war against NATO and US there. I'm afraid that after Islamists finish their business in Libya they will turn on Europe... but media ignore that menace!

Why, when Cheney called 'terra terra terra", we were supposed to disdain him but when Qaddafi did the same thing during the uprising, we were supposed to believe him?

Anyway...

The new guys in charge are relatively western friendly. I'm sure that if it comes to it, there will be cooperation in any military action taken.
