House where Lee Harvey Oswald stayed to go up for sale
Source: CNN
The Dallas house where Lee Harvey Oswald rented a room in November 1963, when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, will shortly be on the market.
The owner of the property in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas plans to put it up for sale on June 1. Oswald rented a room in the house at 1026 North Beckley Ave. from Arthur and Gladys Johnson for $8 per week.
It gave him access to a bedroom and a living room, and refrigerator privileges in the house. He began living at the property on October 14, 1963.
Earlene Roberts, the housekeeper of the property, told the Warren Commission that Oswald rented the room under the alias of O. H. Lee.

Looks like they're asking $92,000.
Google street view can't get to the front of the house, but here's a picture on Flickr:

Actually looks like a cute little house!

(5,275 posts)From ample reading on the JFK murder I suspect Oswald was what is called a throwaway by the pros, professional "whackers" always provide authorities with a suspect. Oswald may or may not have shot a gun but me and everyone on the lawn across the street that day, including law officers, all looked and ran toward the "grassy knoll".
I don't believe we have the full story on the other 2 liberal hits in the 60's, RFK and MLK either. Lone nuts? Those are the two whack job ladies who shot at Jerry Ford but didn't even hit him. Or the fruitcake who shot up Reagan and hurt him but didn't get the job done. Messy. Nothing messy about the 3 big ones in the 60s.
In 1999, a jury found that MLK was assassinated by conspiracy. That should be the official history.
