Thapar set a hearing for Thursday morning to clarify that designation and determine if they’re eligible for release. In the meantime, he ordered the three be placed in jail, and they were taken to the Blount County Detention Center on Wednesday evening.

Attorneys said sentencing likely won’t take place for three or four months.
