(Reuters) - A former Washington schoolteacher on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list for alleged child pornography has been arrested in the Central American country of Nicaragua, a federal law enforcement source said on Monday.

The suspect, Eric Justin Toth, was arrested over the weekend, and U.S. authorities are seeking his extradition, the source said.

"We're in the process of getting him out of there," said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Toth, 31, had taught at a private school in the U.S. capital, and had also worked as a camp counselor. He has been on the run since the District of Columbia and Maryland issued arrest warrants in 2008.
