Boston bombs: Eight-year-old victim is named.

Source: scotsman.com

THE EIGHT-year-old boy killed in yesterday’s Boston marathon explosions has been named as Martin Richard.
Martin is thought to have been waiting near the finish line to greet his father, who had been running in the race. His mother Denis was hospitalised with ‘grievous injuries’, according to The Times, and underwent surgery for a brain injury late on Monday night.

Martin’s six-year-old sister, whose name has not been made public, was reported to have lost a leg in the blast, said reports on local TV station WHDH.

The condition of the children’s father William has not been released, but a third child was reportedly unharmed in the bombing.

I have family that live not far from there. This is a very sad situation. The little boy went to hug his father as he finished his race, then ran back to his mother and was hit.

to comprehend. Heartbreaking and mind boggling. May their recoveries be quick and full. It is times like this that I wish I believed in a god who both listened and cared.
