Jim Carrey: Fox News 'A Media Colostomy Bag That Has Begun To Burst At The Seams'

Source: Huffingtonpost.com

Jim Carrey has some harsh words for Fox News. Carrey released a statement on Friday blasting the conservative news network as "a media colostomy bag that has begun to burst at the seams."

Carrey's issue with Fox News stems from the response to his recent anti-gun lobby video "Cold Dead Hand," produced in conjunction with Funny or Die.

Fri Mar 29, 2013, 06:31 PM
Mar 2013

-snip-

"Since I released my "Cold Dead Hand" video on Funny or Die this week, I have watched Fux News rant, rave, bare its fangs and viciously slander me because of my stand against large magazines and assault rifles. I would take them to task legally if I felt they were worth my time or that anyone with a brain in their head could actually fall for such irresponsible buffoonery. That would gain them far too much attention which is all they really care about.

I'll just say this: in my opinion Fux News is a last resort for kinda-sorta-almost-journalists whose options have been severely limited by their extreme and intolerant views; a media colostomy bag that has begun to burst at the seams and should be emptied before it becomes a public health issue.

I sincerely believe that in time, good people will lose patience with the petty and poisonous behavior of these bullies and Fux News will be remembered as nothing more than a giant culture fart that no amount of Garlique could cure.

I wish them all the luck that accompanies such malevolence."

This is made obvious by Carrey's body of work, which is wildly uneven.

I'd offer an apology for his anti-vax activism by pointing out that it arose out of a deep-seated feeling that the medical-industrial complex lies to us and rips us off massively each and every day.

And while I happen to believe that vaccines are almost always beneficial when prescribed correctly, I still share that distrust of BigMed.

If he has no legal standing to see the child, he would, of course, never see him again. It would be unreasonable to suggest that he should, the way US law works in these matters.

If he tried to see him, Ms. McCarthy could accuse the guy of stalking or some other nefarious behavior.

I think it's ridiculous to let one issue serve as a litmus test as to whether or not we should like someone. The issue at hand has nothing to do with anti-vaccine activism. So why even bring it up?

As to the Fox (and actually Ted Nugent and whatsisname )defense of Heston; equally over-the -top. Calling him a great patriot and a great warrior( give Heston credit, he did serve in WWII, just not in combat) is hysterical due to the seriousness his defenders impart to this. I guess the actor did have a huge personal arsonal, but certainly was no combat veteran.

I am afraid however that, short of the murder of one of their loved ones, they will not acknowledge reality.
