Huckabee Hints at 2016 Presidential Run

Source: Newsmax

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has revealed to Newsmax that he is looking at a possible bid for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016.

Asked in a Newsmax TV interview if he is considering another White House run, Huckabee declares: “Yeah, I’m not ruling it out at this point.

“I’m not sitting around having meetings with the strategic team, but it’s something I will certainly look at and I’m talking to some people just to determine whether it’s a kamikaze raid or whether it has potential and possibility.”

They are planning to gerrymander the Electoral College next time. They got rebuffed in Virginia, but in most of the swing states,
there is nothing we can do to stop them.

The gerrymander would give the Rapeuglicans a lock on the Presidency, even if it's Fuckabee running.

President Obama would have won in 2012 by the landslide he did regardless of any change.
President Clinton will win in 2016 by just as big a landslide.

The oddity would be PA.
If Jeb picks Christie, it is quite possible they could contend in PA.
Should PA change, it would actually help Hillary/Napolitano win even more electoral votes.

Which is why in the end, 100% of all democratic voters have to vote in 2013, 2014,2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. 2019, 2020 for the democratic candidate or the one who will caucus with the party, and make sure that come 2020 census, the democratic party has the upper control.

He may have some traction in the miniscule rump that is now the totality of the GOP "base" but he'll never get anywhere in a national election. Places like newsmax and other corporate media would still be delighted to see him run because it would add to their freak show ad revenue.

Rudy Giuliani Becomes Pitchman For LifeLock

Rudy Giuliani, former crime-busting mayor of New York City, has taken a new job: TV pitchman.

Television ads featuring the 2008 presidential candidate and onetime D.A. have recently begun airing. In them, Giuliani warns viewers of the dangers of identity theft and touts the services of ID-protection company LifeLock.

They were easy to spot the last couple of times around. Many of them had highly technical professions, or were studying them; all were deeply religious; most were evangelistic in both their religion and politics, and seemed to be propelled toward trying to sell Huckabee's peculiar brand of upbeat malevolence.

I don't understand exactly why, but Huckabee has more of the stature of a religious figure than as a politician among his adherents. That is highly unusual to me, considering the deeply un-Christian (in theory, not practice) live-and-let-die policies he clearly supports.

It suggests to me that Huckabee might be attracting only those people who can be comfortable with that sort of contradiction, thereby serving as a strong attractant for the conservative base and as a repellant to the 77 percent of Americans who know better.

So welcome aboard, Huck! Better hope Jeb picks you as a running mate and not the other way around....

Also, kids might have noticed that GOP policies have made their lives much harder and their futures much dimmer than their parents was.

... But only 31% of Americans under 30 have full-time jobs; many of them, I am sure, have never had a full-time job.

That ain't the path to fat, racist, and scared, which is the core demographic Huckabee cultivates. Instead, they are profiting from the poverty of their children.

So I think things are gonna change pretty soon, and pretty damned quick when it does. Wish it were tomorrow, and not in ten years.

a new "second" party rises up on its left. Hopefully it will be a real party and not a sock puppet of the wealthy like the current two.

If that doesn't happen, there will be a more radical change they may or may not have a positive outcome.

He's stronger than any of the Republicans who competed for the nomination last time. He has executive government experience that he won't try to run away from like Romney did. He also has much better stage presence than the last lot had, and a thin populist streak thing going on also. We should be able to beat him fairly easy - but he is not another Bachman.

He will be very vulnerable in a GOP primary and it will be used against him. All of that wasn't out there the first time he ran.

I won't run because he's a coward. And he knows it.

The Huckster has had a number of years to perfect how he would deal with the pardon issue. He is perfectly capable of saying on one hand that he is a Christian minister and that he was moved by his love of Jesus to offer forgiveness to some who seemed to have earned it but that he has firmly gotten the message now, maybe even from the big guy looking down, that justice must be served in this world blah blah. He has better verbal skills than the average Republican. But by 2016 his hard line against Gay Marriage will sink him with younger voters especially.
