Mitt Romney, his sons and his former colleagues at Bain Capital donated thousands of dollars to help retire Tim Pawlenty’s debt after Mr. Pawlenty dropped out of the Republican presidential primary and endorsed Mr. Romney.

Rick Perry and his supporters burned through more than $20 million through Dec. 31, almost $1,700 for each of the votes he won in the Iowa caucuses a few days later.

And President Obama continues to outpace all of the Republican candidates in the money hunt.
