Larry Bird’s son arrested for allegedly trying to run over ex-girlfriend with a car
Source: Houston Chronicle
The son of former Boston Celtics legend and Indiana Pacers coach and executive Larry Bird was arrested on the Indiana University campus on Sunday.
According to the Indianapolis Star, Connor Bird, 21, allegedly tried to hit his ex-girlfriend with a car. He faces multiple charges, including battery with injury, criminal mischief, intimidation with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.
The Indiana University Police Department said Connor Bird got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend, threw a cell phone at her and then attempted twice to run her over in his car in a Bloomington, Ind. parking lot. According to police, another Indiana student witnessed the incident and took the female to the campus police department.
It is a private matter we are hoping to resolve as quickly as possible, said Birds attorney, John Tompkins in a WRTV report. We are happy no one was seriously hurt.

(7,403 posts)Will probably land him in jail. The other stuff, a fine and community service.
Sarcasm alert.
A good attorney will keep a felony charge off of his record. Completion of an anger management class will probably keep him out of jail. The stiff fine and community service probably holds.
