North Korea plans nuclear test, more rockets: Defense Commission

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea plans to undertake a third nuclear test and more long-range rocket launches which will be targeted at its "enemy", the United States, its Defense Commission was quoted as saying by state news agency KCNA on Wednesday.

"We are not disguising the fact that the various satellites and long-range rockets that we will fire and the high-level nuclear test we will carry out are targeted at the United States," the country's top military body said.

All resources, such as they are, are fed directly into the military. I have heard people who have been to North Korea say that they have seen some people picking seeds up off the side of the road to eat. Things are that bad, yet the government insists on putting its "nukes" first.

Despicable, backward country.

anybody can do but talk to them, unless people want to start a nuclear war. We have seen the destruction of one Atomic Bomb in Japan. Once that Pandora's Box was open, you can't put it back. You could see this in their view. They probably think National Security trumps food. Some in our country sees it that way too.

Why? Because if the US was going to attack them it could have done it decades ago but so far the US has not done so and I very much doubt it ever will unless N Korea does something extremely stupid to provoke such a response such as say nuking S. Korea or trying to launch a nuke at the US.

I'd bet the test will come fairly soon between now and the end of April.
