Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has been busy working his way through the 282 bills passed by the Legislature during the final weeks of the 2012 session.
The governor's office said he signed 53 bills on Friday and vetoed four. He has acted on a total of 186 bills and 95 are pending review.
Snyder's actions included signing abortion regulations that supporters say protect women but opponents consider an assault on the right to terminate pregnancy. He vetoed legislation he originally sought to overhaul Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan because he objected to provisions preventing businesses from providing elective abortion coverage in employee health plans.

(29,876 posts)LANSING, MI - Changes related to Michigans medical marijuana law have been signed into law by Gov. Rick Snyder.
Some of the changes in measures signed Friday by the Republican governor alter the states voter-approved law from 2008. Others are related to that law.
House Bill 4851 tightens the definition of what will now be considered a bona fide physician-patient relationship in cases where medical marijuana is prescribed. Critics of the voter-approved law say it left too much room for abuse in allowing prescriptions for the drug. But medical marijuana supporters worry requiring a stricter doctor-patient relationship is among the provisions that could make the drug harder to get for legitimate patients.

(4,440 posts)d into law? It would be great if someone could do that and change the words to benefit and protect the majority of the people in the state without the knowledge of that skinhead dictator Snydley. And it wouldn't be noticed until it was presented in court to redeem the criminals, but prosecuted them instead. That would be great!
