Zimmerman Forced to Keep GPS

Source: ABC News / GMA

George Zimmerman was rebuffed by a Florida judge in his request today to remove the GPS tracking device he must wear and be allowed to leave Seminole County so that he would not have to live in hiding while awaiting trial for shooting unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin.

Zimmerman, who is currently out of jail on a $1 million bond, appeared in court today, noticeably stockier, clad in a dark suit and presumably a bulletproof vest as he typically wears in public.

In seeking permission to remove the tracking device, defense attorney Mark O'Mara put Adam Vincent, Zimmerman's probation officer, on the stand. Vincent testified that Zimmerman has always complied with the terms of his probation.

O'Mara argued that Zimmerman has "shown himself where he should be free" and should not be restricted to Seminole County because it does not allow him to speak with attorneys, expert witnesses or to help his attorneys prepare for the upcoming trial.

Ever heard of telephones, O'Mara? Or Skype? We know that your client has Internet access, what with all the donations he got in his PayPal account!

Maybe you shouldn't have thought about murdering Trayvon Martin then.

Idiot.

Zimmerman's behavior regarding his honesty. He had two passports but only turned in one. He had his wife lie about family finances to get a lower bond set. Also, in this day and age I fail to see how the current conditions prevent him from speaking with his attorneys or expert witnesses.

the media attention given to Emmett Till, was "a media shitest" that was done only to "inflame racial tensions and spark riots so they can cover them too".

That's assuming you even know who he was.

Of course not! He should be glad he's able to stay at home instead of a jail cell.

I think Martin would also rather be at home.

And do these attorneys and expert witnesses have access to maps?

And do these maps have Seminole County on them?

Since the answers to all three are yes, there is no reason to remove the tracking bracelet from someone who's a fairly high flight risk...he's got to know that stalking and killing an unarmed man isn't going to be looked upon favorably by any jury in a state so in love with capital punishment.

This guilty nut should be in court and behind bars so justice can be served. The longer the delay the more O.J. justice can be prepared to confuse the simple minded folks who will be on the jury. This same trick worked for O.J. and all those simple minded idiots who were O.J.'s jury.

think that because Zimmerman had kept his fundraising and his stockpile of money hidden from the court, he is definitely a flight risk.

Trayvon can't "leave Seminole county to talk with his attorneys" either. Fuck Zimmerman.
