Warnock on Georgia support for Biden: 'The more Donald Trump talks, the better our fortunes will be'

Source: The Hill

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) said Sunday that support for President Biden in Georgia will be boosted the more former President Trump talks.

CBS host Margaret Brennan asked Warnock on “Face the Nation” why enthusiasm for Biden has dropped among Black voters since the last election, pointing to CBS’s recent polling. Warnock noted that it’s still early in the election but that he is confident voters will turn out for Biden in the state the president narrowly won in 2020.

“And I can tell you as someone whose name has been on the ballot five times in less than three years, that the polls don’t tell you nearly as much as the people do. I think that at the end of the day, Black voters, Georgia voters, will see that this is a binary choice,” he said.

“And the — the more Donald Trump talks, the better our fortunes will be. And in the end, I believe that Georgia voters are going to do for Joe Biden what they did for me,” he added.

that everywhere I went in Georgia, the people were absolutely lovely.

I can't understand how they can vote in creeps like Marjorie Taylor-Greene.

and I was in the minority, not redneck enough.

Traveled through a few years ago and the Hershel Walker political signs were discouraging to say the least.

I love Sen. Warnock, speak softly but carry a big stick.

by 25 points. I pass a lot of dump signs out in the middle of nowhere driving from Atlanta to Savannah. Not many people live outside the cities & most of them, including Savannah, Columbus, Atlanta, & Augusta (though barely) are Blue.

stickers for trump. This is generally a very red area, so the lack of outward support is encouraging.

He has always spoken of things you should be scared of, and promised to magically make them all go away if you vote for him.

Now he is the one scared, with all the approaching legal cases and their ramifications.

The 'scare them' act doesn't work any more.

and I am not seeing the signs or bumper stickers that I saw in 2016 and 2020 for Trump. Marjorie Taylor Greene has a district in Northwest Georgia along the Alabama and Tennessee line that is rural and very red. The folks in that part of Georgia are very different than the rest of the state.

Was from what I'm guessing is now MTG's district, and loved telling people it was the setting for Deliverance--for a reason.

He was the one who told me, 'I can assure you that Deliverance didn't stray too far into fiction. That's why I joined the Air Force, so I could get out and stay out.'

I've never seen a mic hog or a camera whore like him. He grabs at a microphone the way a baby grabs a tit.
