AUSTIN Gov. Rick Perry has appointed his chief of staff to the Texas Supreme Court.
Jeffrey Boyd will join the states highest civil court Dec. 3 and finish a term that expires at the end of 2014.

Perry has overseen 253 executions and commuted one sentence granting life in prison to a death row inmate who drove the getaway car during a robbery and murder.

(2,477 posts)what 253 counts of first degree murder did he commit? By upholding Texas law? The death penalty is what the people of TX. want and all he's doing is upholding the law.
I'm generally anti death penalty but sometimes a crime is so horrendous that the death penalty is called for.

(8 posts)I miss Molly's razor sharp columns about Texas politics and especially "Gov. Goodhair". She would have eviscerated him for his primary performance. I'd hate to have an important case in front of a judge appointed by this clown.
