Paula Broadwell at brother’s D.C. home [Govt now holding her NC driver's license "indefinitely"]

Source: Politico

...Separately, Broadwell’s driver’s license was found in D.C.’s Rock Creek Park on Nov. 11, a spokesman for the Maryland-National Capital Park Police told POLITICO.

The police informed the FBI and were instructed to keep the license “indefinitely,” said Lt. Bill Kellogg, the spokesman....

1) She is meeting with her DC lawyer.
2) She will be called to testify soon??? (And now can't drive away somewhere and avoid it).

Also -- isn't there a constitutional right called "Freedom of Locomotion" - ? How can the govt keep her driver's license?

This is all sounds very weird to me, her not having her driver's license.

I think that there is US case law that makes freedom of movement about the country a virtual right, but that does not include any right to having a driver's license. However, if a person has met the requirements laid out by state law for owning one, I don't think the government can arbitrarily withhold it. It does seem odd that the FBI would hold it, but perhaps she can claim it at any time.

I would expect that passport to be revoked as well.

Also, without her driver's license or passport, she can't get into Canada or Mexico.

I wonder if she was in her home when the FBI came in to get all her documents relating to Petreaus.

If I am clear here, do you submit that she "lost" her license on purpose as a means of protecting her life? I buy that theory, if she thought she might be whacked she was leaving some bread crumbs. BTW Chandra Levy was killed in the same park.

wouldn't something in a safe deposit box be a better idea? My thought was that whoever planned to whack her got ahold of the license, thinking Chandra Levy.

I was still reading through it when I posted the link. It doesn't make sense but who knows? This whole thing is so convoluted. I think the most telling and worthy part of the article was where they said that it was a love triangle that turns out to have so many sides there may be no defining what shape it actually has!

I would like to see the name and photo of the FBI personal friend who allegedly began this whole chain of events with
Jill Kelley's alleged complaint. I am thinking such FBI guy may not exist; thus, he is only described as "shirtless" in a photo sent to Kelley.
Maybe it all started with Cantor, etc.
