Obama keeps Holder as Attorney General

Source: New York Post

President Obama is holding on to Eric Holder as the nation’s top law-enforcement official, The Post has learned.

The newly re-elected president asked his controversial attorney general to stay for the second term, and Holder has agreed despite enduring a firestorm of criticism from Republican lawmakers.

“I don’t know if everyone in the White House wants him [Holder] to stay, but the important guy does, and that’s all that matters,” said one person briefed on the matter.

Holder’s office declined to comment.

of the disagreement seems to be on him enforcing the laws against marijuana? Holder has to do his job because of his oath. The criticism shouldn't be at him but against the people in Congress that made the law. I agree their evidence is flimsy on marijuana. That is where your fight should be. Colorado and Washington took a good step to force the debate in this county.

The problem I have with Holder is he should enforce Civil Rights Laws the same way he enforce Drug Laws and not cower from the Repukes. If it was me, I would have some Repukes in chains by now.

Eric Holder To Stay In Obama Administration Beyond First Term: Report

Attorney General Eric Holder is reportedly staying on for an unspecified time beyond President Barack Obama's first term, according to Fox News.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Holder had accepted President Barack Obama's request to stay on, but the timeline had yet to be settled. The New York Post reported on Nov. 13 that Holder would stay on.
