Heller (Senate R-Nev.) says he needs Obama voters to win

Source: Las Vegas Sun

U.S. Sen. Dean Heller is in a bit of an awkward position as a Republican who has spent years in Congress staking out a conservative position. By his own admission, Heller is relying on Barack Obama voters to hand him a re-election victory.

“There are plenty of crossover voters,” Heller said. “I see plenty of Obama-Heller voters, but I don’t see too many Romney-Berkley voters.

“I clearly need the Obama voters to win.”

... But if Heller is counting on the Obama vote for his own victory, does that mean he’s written off a Romney victory in Nevada? Not necessarily.

1. A telling admission of Obama's popularity there, like McMahon's door tag. I like it.

But don't vote for him anyway, good people of Nevada!

Sweep the place clean of the GOP!

and that's because the republicans are extremists who nearly always vote for their party, and back their people on everything, regardless if they're really for it or against it. I wish Dems would do the same in NV.

has Heller up by 3.5 or so. He has some really nasty adds against her and the flyers are nonstop. Going door to door, most of our canvassers (I've been launching canvasses) are telling me a lot of Dems are voting for Heller not Berkley.

It is just asking for obstruction. Democrats and Republicans have CLEARLY different ideas on almost all policies. How can you be for both?

OFA Nevada is converting as many Obama/Heller supporters to Obama/Berkley as they can talk to. Surprisingly not many D voters understand the ramifications of choosing Obama & the appointed Dean Heller, a rubber stamp Republican.

PPP released their polling information today <here>. But I think everyone is going to just assume it's close and we need every Democrat to come out and vote Berkley in.

We'll see if the phone banks keep Dems voting for the Democratic ticket. We're encouraged by the turnout so far and we'll be working on it again late into the evening.

GOTV!

evangelicals are always talking about how much they love Israel and yet they prefer the faux Christian to the Jewish candidate, Shelley, whose ancestors were the original Christians. I just don't get it. Then add to that the whole vaginomics thing. Heller votes the GOP wingnut party line. He's going to vote against women's health care choice. Why would anyone vote for this guy?
