JOE SCARBOROUGH: 'If I'm Betting, I'm Betting On The President'

Source: Business Insider

MSNBC's Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough joined the ranks of political forecasters projecting an Obama victory, telling his political panel Monday that he is "betting on the president" to win tomorrow's election.

Pointing to a series of polls that show the race in a dead heat, Scarborough noted that the close contest favors the incumbent.
"I've got to say right now, as a practicing politician of 20 years, If I'm betting, I'm betting on the president," he said. "Every poll has lined up for the president."

But he added one caveat that is worth remembering as the conventional wisdom continues to predict an Obama victory:

"If you think about 1980, where every elite in Manhattan and Washington was sure Jimmy Carter was going to win — I don't care what they say now," he warned. "Nobody saw the Reagan Revolution nobody saw it coming."

I know that Nobody Gives a Shit What Joe Scab says.... so please limit the comments pointing that out.

Reason for posting is to give everybody a chance to enjoy the slow procession of all The Romney Surrogates throwing their Guy under the bus because they know he is going to lose...

They told Carter the night before the election it was going to be a blowout. I don't think that's what Axelrod and Plouffe are seeing, Joe.

he and Mark(Dick) Halperin were talking about how enthusiastic the Robme crowds were this week-end and how incredibly large (huge) they were. They said there 6k people at one rally. True enough, but the 24k that turned out for the 2 Presidents only drew a toss-off of the Obama crowd was enthusiastic too. Hmmm, let me see, 6k or 25k, which is higher?

Probably the most important of them was that the Dems were complacent.

It seems clear we learned something from that.

When the Bush crime family is that closely involved, strange things happen. Funny how that works.

A black man. Elected to the White House? That in and of itself blows away anything this nation has ever done. Raygun was just a fluke.

garbage. I remembered agonizing over whether to vote for Carter or vote for John Anderson, precisely because Carter had already been written off before election day.

I ended up voting for Carter, in my first Pres eleciton, and have voted Dem ever since.

Hannity Insanity had Karl Rove on his program last night and they were both thinking that Romney would win in a close election.
But, then Hannity had Gingrich come on later so he could say that he thought that Romney would win early in the evening, that it wasn't even going to be that close.

Then Sister Sarah came on, and she said that she wouldn't predict who would win the election.
And I thought, well, of course not, don't go out on a limb now and look like an idiot on Wednesday, Sister Sarah.
Besides, you already did that 4 years ago when you said McCain would be the next president.

How'd that work out for you?

"Obama pals around with terrorists."
What a loon!!
