This is happening right now at Mitt Romneys rally in Pennsylvania. Apparently its freezing, and Romneys staff is refusing to let rally-goers leave. People are begging reporters for help.
Absolutely incredible.
From the NYTs Michael Barbaro:

Like to be able to hit Robme with this but apparently it wasn't their doing.

(408 posts)Talking heads earn their pay and are not to be trusted no matter how dazzling their dental work might be. And this rally business is disturbing. What if ... ? Crowds are just cattle to Team Romney and we all know it. I can't wait for that freak show to end.

Both of the people that made the tweets this was based on clarified what was going on.
Run with it all you want I am all for making Robme look like crap to as many people as possible but if you think you will see this on the msm you are kidding yourself.

(6,604 posts)I understand logistics and crowd control and chain of command and all that, but WTF??
I would have 9-1-1 on the line in an instant if it were my kid. Hell, even if I just wanted to leave and were not allowed to. Is this a public gathering or a carnival ride?

(115 posts)Others have said it but it bears repeating and a link I guess. . .
The primary originator of the story, Jackie Kucinich has walked way way back from her original tweets that started the crapstorm.
From Jackie Kucinich's latest (posted 1:55AM EST November 5. 2012) article in USAToday:
"The event began more than an hour late after a travel delay in Cleveland, causing those at the rally to have to wait several hours to see Romney after the sun had gone down. This led to a commotion near the press area when a small group of people tried to leave the rally though a secure perimeter established by the Secret Service. Some of the attendees complained that they were cold and felt trapped; with the aid of Romney advance staff and the Secret Service, they were redirected to usable exits."
USAToday
She seems to be commenting on other's streams that are repeating or re-tweeting her original story and they don't seem too happy about her change, accusing her of being bought out by Romney . . . Oh well!
