I'm a PSU alum (1966-71), and have been sadly watching this still-unfolding, despicable debacle from the outset.

• human trafficking ~ and modern-day slavery ~ invisible crimes •
• using twitter to ~ subvert corporate agendas ~ 7 / 24 •
• pedophilia ~ franklin scandal: still evil ~ after all these years •
• hiding in plain sight ~ with respectability ~ rape kids in private •
• next shoes soon to drop ~ sports betting and game fixing ~ of course, mafia •
• folks had a lot of ~ incentives to do nothing ~ protect each other •
• the second mile ~ incestuous corruption ~ more so by the day •
• open defiance ~ make-shift shrines bobble-head dolls ~ willful ignorance •
• tarnished tortured past ~ hideousness enabled ~ let children suffer •
• there's franco harris ~ sad mascot for a doomed cause ~ a cardboard cutout •
• doesn't understand ~ what "moment of reflection" ~ actually means •
• they cover it up ~ they all said i was lying ~ BELIEVE the children •
• decades of silence ~ decades of child abuse ~ milton hershey school •
• poetic justice ~ truth caught up with all of them ~ ethics and civics •
• value of money ~ HARMS and creates corruption ~ sad state of affairs •
• flaunting your pride when ~ guilt contrition are called for ~ forest through the trees •
• how do you react? ~ most everyone's been bullied ~ do you become one? •
• widespread corruption ~ wider pedophile ring ~ keep pulling loose threads •
• trustees "meet" by phone ~ cover-up continuing ~ the truth is much worse •
• what's needed now are ~ courageous whistle blowers ~ true prosecutor •
• forget the UNdead ~ don't miss the unLIKELY dead ~ billions buy backdoors •
• no coincidence ~ so much "resolved" SO quickly ~ swept under the rug •
• so many are still ~ struggling to understand this ~ ask better questions •
• ever-spreading slime ~ enveloping Tom Corbett ~ deeper and deeper •
• what they have to hide ~ goes much deeper and wider ~ than we've seen so far •
• painful as this seems ~ containment operation ~ cover-up goes on •
• we broke down in tears ~ 'may no act of ours bring shame' ~ how much we have lost •
• we do SO love our ~ money, prestige and power ~ a little bit more •
• cheating going on ~ this unholy alliance ~ flooded with money •
• ncaa speaks ~ resolve this case period ~ punitive measures •
• 14 years of wins ~ penn state just got sandusky'd ~ by n.c.a.a. •
• joepa statue is ~ "stored in secure location" ~ (JUST what kids needed) •
• you need to shut down ~ your criminal football team ~ statue just the start •
• source of division ~ an obstacle to healing ~ it's coming down now •
• where is victim two? ~ many unanswered questions ~ where is ray gricar? •
• paterno statue ~ offensive painful emblem ~ rancid moral fog •
• tossed academics ~ and FOR WHAT? screaming fandom ~ and donor dollar$ •
• ignored our motto ~ "make life better" and instead ~ chose "we are penn state" •
• indicates to me ~ that the entire football ~ culture is corrupt •
• betrayal lingers ~ lament: "our golden calf is ~ nothing more than bull" •
• what drives cover-ups ~ reservoir of ugliness ~ that lies beneath it •
• add extortion to ~ this despicable scandal ~ $5 million buyout •
• spanier: poster boy ~ arrogance hypocrisy ~ and miscast power •
• "the only downside" !? ~ the thoughts of moral monsters ~ lost humanity •
• improprieties ~ at best inappropriate ~ asked: "other children?" •
• blackmailing joepa ~ sweetens his deal even ~ as scandal played out •
• blinded old joepa ~ lying for his team 'til his ~ last pitiful breath •
• as bad as this seems ~ it's going to get MUCH worse ~ tip of the iceberg •
• joe's new legacy: ~ turned his back on helpless boys ~ to protect himself •
• those boys needed help ~ needed ANYone to care ~ discarded like trash •
• closed minds can be changed ~ for those open to the truth ~ it won't be easy •
• callous and shocking ~ protect a child rapist ~ never called police •
• victim sensitive ~ everyone has the DUTY ~ to 'blow the whistle' •
• actively concealed ~ avoid bad publicity ~ huge implications •
• the facts are the facts ~ the firings were justified ~ full conspiracy •
• total disregard ~ for the safety and welfare ~ of child victims •
• freeh report hopes to ~ bring "emotional closure" ~ can you say "fat chance"? •
• not a pleasant one ~ your name has become a verb ~ just ask santorum •
• cowardice / courage? ~ how you choose is who you are ~ both are contagious •
• silver lining came ~ young men took the witness stand ~ "this happened to me" •
• FOURTEEN years ago ~ first brave child came forward ~ who believes a kid? •
• the ugly truth: we ~ just don't want to hear about ~ sexual abuse •
• vulnerable kids ~ a seemingly decent man ~ gut wrenching stories •
• sandusky's first night ~ "teacher, leave those kids alone" ~ jail inmates sing •
• a. g. says "time to ~ lift the veil of secrecy ~ expose predators •
• this isn't over ~ shine bright lights in dark places ~ BELIEVE THE VICTIMS •
• huge and on-going ~ containment operation ~ verdict either way •
• we must teach them to ~ SCREAM at the top of their lungs ~ voice to the voiceless •
• keep pulling the threads ~ this story is MUCH bigger ~ where is ray gricar? •
• sandusky's case is ~ littered with missing chances ~ to stop a rapist •
• jerry sandusky ~ calls himself "tickle monster" ~ got half of that right •
• where is ray gricar? ~ containment is collapsing ~ add a murder charge ? •
• wonderful guy, saint! ~ what were they so afraid of ? ~ cowards knew for years •
• victims: the heroes ~ janitor: i saw four-legs ~ no one would stop him •
• evil happens when ~ (sandusky testimony) ~ good folks do nothing •
• north afghanistan ~ one form of pederasty ~ child slavery •
• "playing with children" ~ criminal impunity ~ this is "bacha bazi" •
• it keeps getting worse ~ dutch catholic church accused ~ of castrating boys •
• it's a tragedy ~ so many knew, did nothing ~ they kept his secret •
• what is needed here ~ are independent watchdogs ~ instead of lapdogs •

• investigations ~ who's protecting whom, and why? ~ v i p sex rings •
• for millennia ~ hideous epidemic ~ hidden in plain sight •
• la rochefoucauld : our ~ virtues are most often ~ vices in disguise •
• hypocrisy : the ~ tribute vice pays to virtue ~ said la rochefoucauld •
• sandusky speaks out ~ just rationalizations ~ he's delusional •
• more courage than all ~ the adults who let you down ~ you are my hero •
• protecting the perks ~ unaccountable power ~ all the same 'iceberg' •
• too big to indict? ~ pimping kids to the wealthy!? ~ it's time to pay up •
• hurt the defenseless ~ you cross the line to evil ~ honor turns to dust •
• it's the same iceberg ~ "conspiracy of silence" ~ see it on you tube •
• stop the cover-ups ~ denials and suppression ~ straight-forward courage •
• sexual abuse ~ no matter how old they are ~ damage is the same •
• sandusky's lawyer ~ "what kind of Creepy Guy Club ~ you two belong to ?!" •
• tip of the iceberg ~ center of the ruling class ~ pedophile ringS •
• 'joepa' paterno ~ is NOT the victim here folks ~ boys in the showers •
• penn state cover-up ~ "may no act of ours bring shame" ~ you've really blown it •
• like every scandal ~ the cover-up continues ~ to keep the lid on •
• on-going abuse ~ gives lie to our nobleness ~ exploiting the weak •
• child rape scandal ~ clubS of pedophiles ~ tip of the iceberg •
• for so long they have ~ acted with impunity ~ it's time to pay up •
• nothing more than a ~ series of conspiracies ~ THAT is history •
• when justice delayed ~ perpetrators are still free ~ justice is denied •
• easy to ignore ~ "what you don't ask about, you ~ won't find out about" •
• web of corruption ~ disinfectant of sunshine ~ there's MUCH worse to come •
• wider and deeper ~ giant protection racket ~ greed from misery •
• important to ask ~ did something worse happen here? ~ i can't say for sure •
