Mike Huckabee Warns Christians: Obama Vote Will Crumple In Hell's Fire

Source: The Huffington Post

Mike Huckabee has a dire warning for Christians: When you vote on Nov. 6, hell's fire awaits, and a vote for President Barack Obama will not stand up to the flames.

In a new ad, the former Arkansas governor and ordained Southern Baptist minister warns Christians that their votes "will affect the future and be recorded in eternity" and they must cast a ballot that will "stand the test of fire." The video, entitled "Test of Fire," features symbolic fiery imagery and is narrated by Huckabee:

Christians across the nation will have an opportunity to shape the future for our generation and generations to come. Many issues are at stake, but some issues are not negotiable: The right to life from conception to natural death. Marriage should be reinforced, not redefined. It is an egregious violation of our cherished principle of religious liberty for the government to force the church to buy the kind of insurance that leads to the taking of innocent human life.

Your vote will affect the future and be recorded in eternity. Will you vote the values that will stand the test of fire? This is Mike Huckabee asking you to join me November the 6th and vote based on values that will stand the test of fire.

Similar to the subject of abortion(on the topic of life, and what makes up human life), the subject of Hell is rooted in an area of people's worldview that goes unconsidered. The religion provides thought stopping memes for avoiding consideration into these concepts. The concept of faith gives comfort in this unstable, unquestioned position. Leaving room for the most effective manipulation, within areas of thoughtlessness.

Matthew 25:31-46

New International Version (NIV)
The Sheep and the Goats

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Nov 2012

I tend to think of those quotes quite a lot when I listen to so called "Christian Conservatives". I often wonder... do they just read the old testament and then skip the rest as being uninteresting?

I've been told by a couple of Baptist Ministers that you must accept the whole bible, not only bits and pieces of it. You must (according to these ministers) swallow it whole or you can't claim to believe in any of it. I've read enough books (thousands) to know that those ministers are full of shit.

Still, it occurs to me that if they wish to continue taking their bibles so literally, perhaps they should consider these particular quotes.

I voted for Obama so that people aren't taken advantage of by double-minded, lying assholes like yourself who know better.

I voted for Obama so that everyone has the chance to afford healthcare so that they can live their lives, not exist in demoralization and desperation.

I voted for Obama so that women are no longer reduced to being broodmares and chattel for their husband to use and abuse at whim.

I voted for Obama so that we can finally shift this oil-gluttonous country off of fossil fuels and onto renewable energy sources and quit sucking Mother Earth dry like a fucking soul-less vampire.

I voted for Obama so that children will have a somewhat decent world to inherit...

AND BECAUSE I VOTED FOR OBAMA, I *WILL NOT* BURN IN ANYONE'S HELL. And you can go take that back to whatever devil sent you and tell them I said so.

The theocrats hardly bother to veil their contempt for democracy anymore. Dissent is mortal sin, independence of thought is unforgivable immorality, submission to authority is the price of admission at the Pearly Gates.

Don't bother to ask how these wise men know with such clarity and absolute certainty the Divine Will. Just understand that to doubt them is to risk your eternal soul.

77. The likes of Huckabee are what led me to walk away from a Southern Baptist Church

a few years ago and never return. I've since wondered why God (if he's got all that power christians believe he does) chooses not to give a very big and much-deserved smack-down to the Huckabees of the world. I'll keep wondering. Meanwhile, I wish like hell Huckabee would just shut up.

I listen to this turd off and on, when Ed Shultz is on the radio here in Portland, OR. I really get fed up with Ed a lot, as to me, he's the "rush limpballs of the left"...in my humble opinion.

But after about 10 minutes of this syrupy seditious douche-bag, I have had all I can take. I'd love to call his show and point out his hypocrisy and give him my two-cents worth; but it would be giving him more attention than he deserves. He really is a sick f*ck.

I'll be sooooo glad when this whole election is over, and we retain the White House and gain back the House that we lost to the teabaggers in 2010. Honestly, this country is on the cliff alright..and it has little to do with "financial matters". It's more for the heart and soul of this country. And if this douche-bag and his ilk have their way, it's the end of a government FREE of religious zealots and fruit cakes, and corporate rapists who plan to plunder the last coins from the eyes of the dying middle class.

Go Obama 2012!!

God told me that Mike Huckabee, in fact, is going to Hell. He specifically named him, and said he would be condemned to seek nourishment from within the resected bowels of Zombie Ronald Reagan. Yes, he did.

God also told me I couldn't have a pink unicorn because it wouldn't be fair to all the little girls out there, which proves my point.

88. Huckabee needs to read the Bible

As a long time Southern Baptist myself (now "former" church person because of people like him), I'd tell Mike Huckabee unless he sells everything he has and gives it all away to feed the poor he will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. There is nothing in the Bible that says God will do what he says. He's making stuff up, using God for his selfish purposes, and obviously doesn't follow the "red" parts of the Bible very well. As a Southern Baptist he knows full well that we are not under the Law of the Old Testament anymore, we are under the Grace of Christ. Per Southern Baptist belief "once saved always saved" and if you accept Christ as your Saviour, nothing you do will alter that fact that you are Saved in Christ forever. This game the religious righteous play of using the threat of hell and damnation against you for voting your choice is pure sacrilege and he should be ashamed of himself. President Obama has shown himself to be more of a practicing follower of Christ's teaching than Mike Huckabee or any other GOP person I know.

Funny how GOPers adopted red as their color, yet their Bibles don't seem to have any red words in them.

accepting Jesus as your savior.

I see no requirement to vote for heretic cult leaders like Rmoney, who isn't even a Christian himself.

Or a requirement to vote for a party that oppresses the poor, the sick, the homeless by pious sounding wolves in sheep's clothing.

As a matter of fact, the republican party which worships the goddess of greed, Ayn Rand and wealth is about as anti-Christ as you can get!

So fuck off Huck, Ill vote for the only christian in the race who actually has compassion for the poor, sick and working class, President Obama.

You Pharisees better look to your own black souls to see if you can be saved from the hellfire to come!

cannot judge anyone much less President Obama. Only God can judge President Obama. Huckabee presents himself as a messenger of God. That depends on the listener if they believe Huckabee is what he claims. As someone receiving his message,His actions don't represent God. There is also scripture that warns about people like Huckabee.

His message is a message of hate, lies and deceit. Huckabee has also spread distortions in collusion with the birthers by claiming President Obama was born in Kenya and tried to portray the President as a Muslim. Ie has not just used the abortion issue. He uses the Bible only to draw people under his influence. One thing is very clear, lying is also a sin. So what we have here is a hypocrite using the lord's name in vain.

As far as President Obama, he can only do what he thinks is right. President Obama does not push his religion on anyone else. He does not present himself to speak for God as Huckabee or others do. The choice about abortions is left up to the people that get them. The question for people are their different perceptions of when life begins and when it is sacred.

According to Huckabee it is at conception. Technically, one cell can have life. If that is so, then why stop at conception? The legal definition for murder, does not start at conception.

who have no concern for the poor?

Christianity has become a really sick joke under the TV preachers and megachurches.

Once upon a time, it encouraged people to be thoughtful and compassionate.
