Poll (Quinnipiac): Obama 48, Romney 46

Source: Politico

On the eve of Monday's foreign policy debate, a new CBS/Quinnipiac poll shows President Obama edging Mitt Romney among likely voters nationwide.

The survey finds that Obama leads Romney 48 percent to 46 percent — within the 3 percent margin of error.

Support for Obama is down 1 percent since a CBS/NYT poll showed Obama beating Romney 49 percent to 46 percent.

CBS also finds that 11 percent of likely voters are undecided for now, and are open to changing their mind before election day.

WHY is the margin so small?!!! I realize there will always be people who will vote Republican, no matter how bad the candidate, but always thought that would be at most 30%. Who the hell are these ~16% who are going to vote for Romney?!!!! I am so damn frustrated. This election should not be so close!

whenever Romney's behind in a poll, count on these "journalists" to put him "within the margin of error", or "in a dead heat", or "basically tied". But should Romney ever lead in a poll, it's a freakin' massacre. "Romney pummeling Obama", "Romney clearly in the lead", "Romney's cleaning up among women and undecideds", etc.

Maybe that 3% MOE means Obama's really ahead 51% to 43%, maybe they could report on that?
