An adviser to the Commission on President Debates dismissed conservative claims that VP debate moderator Martha Raddatz's objectivity might be compromised because Barack Obama attended her wedding more than 20 years ago.

"We selected Martha Raddatz because she is a terrific journalist and will be a terrific moderator and we're thrilled to have her," the adviser, Peter Eyre, told USA Today.

They are worrying about this in the VP debate but have seen nothing on the Presidential debate coming up featuring Bob Schieffer (sp). He has direct ties to the Bush family. Why does no one raise this issue? He moderated one debate between * and Kerry and mostly people defended him if I remember. This hack should be kept as far from the debates as possible IMO.
