President Trumps luxury properties have charged the U.S. government more than $1.1 million in private transactions since Trump took office including for room rentals at his Bedminster, N.J., club this spring while it was closed for the coronavirus pandemic, new documents show.
The documents, including receipts and invoices from Trumps businesses, were released by the Secret Service after The Washington Post filed a public-records lawsuit. They added $188,000 in previously unknown charges to The Posts running total of payments to Trumps properties related to the presence of Secret Service agents.
In Bedminster this spring, the records show, Trumps club charged the Secret Service more than $21,800 to rent a cottage and other rooms while the club was closed and otherwise off-limits to guests. The documents dont give a reason for these rentals. Trump didnt visit the club while it was closed, but his eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her family reportedly visited at least once.
The family visited the club in April to celebrate Passover, a period that overlaps with several of the largest Secret Service charges. At the time, both the District of Columbia where Ivanka Trump lives and New Jersey had imposed stay-at-home orders, telling residents to avoid travel except under limited circumstances.

(6,265 posts)have to pay out of pocket, did they? And is this type of "arrangement" for secret service personnel unprecedented. This 1.1million is paid out of SS funds, right? They are such lawbreakers. Greedy. No integrity and their character(s) on par with the most contemptible and vicious lowlife looking to gain something for nothing.

(6,265 posts)I forget and get his finances mixed up with what is supposed to be government finances and how my finances are involved. This mofo has had a dream scam going for almost 4 years along with his grifter family. I bet when he is investigated after his total defeat in November, this family will face some tough charges of malfeasance and grift.

(10,053 posts)I doubt that Trump allows everything to be released. He likes his secrets!

(23,147 posts)they should seize his property and sell it to get the money back that he stole from us taxpayers. We'd get a tidy sum and it couldn't then go to his smarmy sickening grifting offspring.

(10,386 posts)If he stays true to form he will extort the lending institutions and demand reduced interest, longer terms or even loan forgiveness. Why do you think he refuses to release his tax, and full financial info? https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/06/donald-trump-loans-deutsche-bank?
